<p>·          9.30am: Meet at the marina andboat to Mou Waho (Chris Boat max 14 persons &amp; DOC boat max 4 persons +plants &amp; gear)</p>
<p>·        10.30am: Planting demonstration, H&amp;S, split into groups&amp; scatter around the island for planting</p>
<p>·        1.00pm: Lunch</p>
<p>·        2.00pm: Finish the planting</p>
<p>·        3.00pm: Guided walk up Arthusa pool with Chris to discoverthe flora and fauna of the island</p>
<p>·        4.30pm: Boat back to Wanaka</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>DOC is funding plants, potting mix, fertilizer pellets, crystal water, stack and the Afternoon tea</p>
<p>Chris is generously offering his help for the talk, the transport to the island, planting and guided walk</p>

We will also be visiting as many schools as possible and showcasing snippets of our new kid’s kea conservation DVD.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Central Otago-Lakes branch of the Forest &amp; Bird Society are running a 4WD field trip on Saturday 5<sup>th</sup> November.</p>
<p>This trip will visit the tussock grasslands of the upper Manuherikia valley via a loop through the two Omarama saddles.</p>
<p>This will be a one day trip, meeting at Tarras at 8.30 am.</p>
<p>You can bring your own 4WD vehicle or seats will be available in other people’s vehicles.</p>
<p>This is a wonderful remote tussock grassland area, part of the newly created Oteake Conservation Park.</p>
